Story Sacks

Story sacks are available for nursery children to borrow.  There is a small charge of 50p per loan so that more story sacks can be made.

A story sack contains a story book and all the characters and props that are needed to tell the story.  Each child will use the story sack in their own individual way.  There is no right and wrong way to use a story sack.  They also contain a game related to the story and a facts book (also story related), often these are for older children or an adult, but are there to show there are different text and set up of a book, other than a story book.

 Story sacks borrowed on:

TUESDAY    should be returned on  FRIDAY.

THURSDAY should be returned on  MONDAY.

Each sack contains a contents list.  Please ensure all pieces of equipment listed are returned in the sack ready for the next person.   A copy of Makaton signs related to the story are also contained in the story sacks.

If you have any queries please contact me in Nursery.

Many Thanks,        Elaine Wright

National Healthy School Status

We have recently been informed that we have been successful in achieving National Healthy School Status. This is a recognition of the work the staff, parents and pupils have put into making sure our school promotes healthy life style choices. An especially big thank-you goes to Mrs. Logan for all her hard work developing policy and practice that meets the needs of our pupils. Thank-you to all the parents that support healthy snack choices, and the PTA for their work at the Summer Fair!

Here you will find information such as SATs results, how we are trying to improve, how we are meeting the needs of our pupils, absence rates, Ofsted information and loads more. It really is worth a look! (especially for prospective parents!)
